If you look on my website, you’ll see that I advertise to “maternity, newborns, and baby’s first year”. I don’t usually enjoy photographing older children in studio, because lets face it- getting a two year old to sit still, look at the camera, and smile a genuine smile is more than challenging. But I’ll let you in on a little secret- I love love LOVE documenting childhood. Letting kids just be kids. Puddle jumping. Making mud pies. Playing in the rain. I love when parents have reasonable expectations and give me full artistic license to just go have fun with it! I had such a great time playing in the creek with these guys. I think they had a blast as well between the tire swing, throwing rocks, and catching crawfish I think this was an adventure they’ll remember for a long time.
