Most newborn photographers, myself included, stress the importance of documenting newborns within the first 2 weeks or so after birth. Babies change and fill out very very quickly. By definition, they are only newborns for a month. But I wanted to challenge myself to see what I could do with an older baby, but one not yet old enough to sit up on their own. Little miss Dela June is 9 weeks old and was a wonderful way for me to see what I could do artistically with a baby of this age. Isn’t she an absolute doll? Here are a few from her session- enjoy!
*If you are considering newborn photos, it IS important to find a photographer you click with and schedule your session well before baby’s arrival. This post isn’t illustrating the this is a substitute for the true newborn stage, rather it was a way for me to push myself and try something different from what I normally do.
